In the cycling world, a gran fondo is a massive group ride/race, which can attract riders numbering in the thousands, encompassing all ability levels. The Grand FUNdo removes any racing aspects from the ride, but keeps all the pros and all of the fun. We have titled this ride a Grand Fundo, because it will be the most fun you’ll have on a bike this summer!
The FUNdo is 64 miles and the course includes approximately 20 miles of dirt roads. No rider will be left behind and we will have an ice cream truck rest stop at mile 32, lots of support riders and a follow car with wheels.
The Grand HUNdo is an 87 mile ride that is only for the strongest riders. It will take you nearly two hours extra to complete the extra 20 miles. This route is definitely not for the faint of heart!
Immediately after the Fundo, we’ll retire for music, a bonfire and a pig roast which we hope you will stay to enjoy with us. The 2011 is the latest in the line of great events that support the mission of the J.A.M. Foundation!
